I feel that New Year's Day, most people look back on the past year and reminisce. For me, it is about looking forward to the adventure that awaits. With that said, the year in beauty has forced me to be slightly nostalgic.
MARC JACOBS - Sephora has exclusivity and I heard the nail varnish, lip glosses and palettes are stunning. However, the concealer and foundation have mixed reviews. I hesitate, as I want to wait for the novelty to die down. Just because you slap a fashion designer's name and high price, does not a good product make. We shall see.
Tom Ford Makeup - Finally, more than his lipstick becomes available at Holt Renfrew in Toronto. Luxury at its finest-even makeup artists are clamoring for his products.
Naked 3- It came out late in 2013, but with its rose tinged shadows, it is extremely wearable and versatile
Hourglass Ambient Powders- trio palette. The powders are finely milled works of magic. They make your skin look airbrushed. The palette has since sold out.
Covergirl - injection of coolness with P!nk and ties to Catching Fire
Michael Kors - The God of bronzed skin and American Sports Wear, expanded his beauty line. What does luxury, bronzer and Saint Tropez smell like?
Charlotte Tilbury- set in rose gold, this goddess of the smokey-rock n roll eye, introduced her magic cream to the world. Extremely delighted that you can find Charlotte Tilbury in Canada at Holt Renfrew and Nordstrom.
Rimmel- Apocalips and Scandal eyes finally became available in Canada. This drugstore makeup was on fire this year.
Maybelline- Colour Tattoos, Baby Lips and Fit Me Foundation Stick have brought this mass makeup company out of just its mascara offerings.

I have to absolutely agree on Rimmel Apocalypse lip glosses - AMAZING colour, texture and staying power! I also feel fortunate to own a Tom Ford lipstick now in a nice cherry red and it is outstanding!! stains the lips! Wore it on NYE - it lasted almost all night with drinking all night haha highly recommend :) i honestly trust everything Tom Ford slaps his name on, as we've seen his amazing work in fashion, now makeup and he's also an amazing director as we've seen him direct A Single Man so beautifully.
